Elizabeth Spano, (nee Carollo), 80 passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011 at home in Belleville, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bloomfield, she was a lifelong resident. Elizabeth worked for the Essex County Planning Dept., retiring after 23 years. She worked for the Salvation Army, was a member of St. Anthony's Choir, and sang for Pope John Paul 2nd. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time at their summer home at Monmouth Beach. She was the loving wife of Andrew J. Spano for 57 years. Mother of Gina Giordano and her husband Anthony , Andrea Spano and Andrew J. Spano Jr. Grandmother of Anthony Giordano 3rd, Michael Tortorelli and his wife Lindsey, Louis Giordano, Andrew Spano 3rd and his wife Jessica and Gina Elizabeth Tortorelli. Great grandmother of Vincent Giordano, Gia Elizabeth Giordano, Anthony Giordano 4th, Anthony Berberich and Alexander Tortorelli.
