Miss Speight was one of my teachers in middle school in the 1960s. She also wrote a recommendation that helped me get into a boarding school that I longed to attend later on. She was a gifted and generous teacher who cared deeply about all of us. Rest in Peace, Miss S.

Special people, truly special people, often are very few numbers yet they touch countless lives in their time here among us. "Aunt Betty", as I came to know her, was such person. Strong, extremely smart, pleasant, patient and loving. I had many opportunities to spend some time with Betty through my friendship with a colleague, her nephew Don and his wife Paula. Betty never forgot a face, name, age, year, what have you once she met you and that makes each life she touched that much more...
