Not sure what to say?

I was a student at Clinton Kelly and library time with her was amazing. I couldn't wait to sit on her carpet and listen to all the wonderful stories she would read to us.
I also remember the animals in the library!!! Over the years I have often thought of her. She gave me a love for books which I passed on to my children. My oldest daughter is writing books and wants to fill her own library. I think of Mrs. Tinker when I hear her dreams of "her own library".
Thank you Mrs. Tinker...

I was proud to serve with Janey in the Oregon State Defense Force.

I was a student at Clinton Kelley Elementary School and would love to visit her in the library. As a child loved the story time she held or purchasing things from the student store. She was a wonderful lady glad to have had her. Thank you!

I knew Janey for a number of years, through the Oregon Association of Hospital Auxiliaries. She and I were both past-presidents of OAHA. She was a very friendly person and was truly committed to volunteerism. I enjoyed the times that we were together at meetings. Sincerely, Helen M. Hilgers, Roseburg

Words cannot express my sadness at Mrs. tinker's passing. I first met her as a 5th grader at Clinton Kelly Elementary uin 1971. During the past 42 years I have/had some kind of contact the last being a year or two ago when i ran into her at the Safeway at 122nd/lisan with her daughter Betsy. I was always very happy to see her no matter the circumstance.

For the Tinker family, i wude likie to share with you a couple of my favorite memories of her. One is when she was the librarian at...

I remember Janey as a true friend of my Mother Alice Burnette and a very close Family Friend while I was growing up. Also Janey was always there when I or my parents were in Portland Adventist Medical Center for various reasons. Janey was always up visiting after her volunteer services. My family always loved her and will miss her.

I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to meet Janey.
