Angelus Funeral Home - San Antonio Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Elizabeth D. Vega on March 15, 2025. Elizabeth was a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her, spreading warmth, kindness, and love to those around her. She was deeply cherished and will be profoundly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago Guerrero De Leon, Rita Flores De Leon and daughter, Jacqueline Vega. She is survived by her husband, Enrique Vega; son, Justin Vega; grandsons, Noah and Julian. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who held her close to their hearts.

Elizabeth's memory will forever live on through the love she shared, the joy she brought, and the countless lives she touched. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we take solace in knowing she is at peace, and her spirit will always remain with us.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, March 30th at 3:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00pm at the Angelus Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, March 31st at 9:00am at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Not sure what to say?

My wife Gloria and I met Liz on a visit to San Antonio while visiting my Vietman buddy Enrique. We remember her fondly showing us around town as a warm and friendly person with a great sense of humor. Our sincere condolences to Enrique and the Vega family. God Bless you. Your California friend Ricardo Martinez

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the De Leon family. As teenagers we shared some fun times back in the day. I will always remember her sweet smile. Please know that I will keep your family in my prayers. Myrna Correa

Auntie Liz had great style. I still remember shopping trips we would take when I was young. We would have a fancy lunch and come home with bags of clothes, shoes, and accessories. Auntie Liz would shop until she dropped. Thank you for the wonderful times and memories.

I will miss her laugh. I always liked to make her laugh. She had such an infectious laugh.
