Mrs. Walker became my first adult friend as a five year old beginning life in suburbia. I recall how fabulous her house was on 3136 Keswick Road in Shaker Heights. She was generous to me and my siblings, sharing concert subscriptions and invitations to parties. Charlene and Wesley and I often played vinyl records in the large expertly renovated basement.
