Elizabeth "Libby" Wheatley

Hi, I know this is so late. I just learned recently of Libby's passing. Libby and I were great friends at Colby College. She was an amazing athlete and competed with me on both the cross country team and the swim team. The main thing about Libby is that she was SO fun! We had many adventures together! Libby was my friend and colleague for the past decade. She was emphatic and funny and so very, very good. She will be missed and thought of often around the campfire, on the river, or on the trail. ☮

I first met Libby in 8th grade. She was a superb athlete, classmate, teammate, and friend. I remember her wit, energetic pursuit of her passions, and several unique phrases. Nearly all of my best high school memories include Libby. It was a privilege to be able to share part of her final journey with her. She made the most of her remaining time , and enjoyed lifes simple pleasures. Thank you kindly Libby for your friendship. Id best be gettin on. May you enjoy life everlasting in heaven ......

Libby will always hold a special place in my heart. So many memories! She made everything an adventure. I am lucky to have had her for my very first best friend and to have spent so much of my childhood at "The Wheatley's." I am very sorry to hear this news. I am so sorry to hear you are gone out of my life. Just when we were getting acquainted again. What a legacy you have left. i wish I had known you so much better. So glad I had the chance to visit with you before you left this earth. I will look for you i n heaven someday
