Dear Paula and Dee Anne~

Peter and I were such lucky people to be introduced by Betty and set up on a blind date. Betty really wanted Peter to "fall" for Dee Anne ~ but I was the lucky one and have now been married 32 years. Your Mom and Dad gave us such a lovely party before our wedding in your lovely home. We stayed in touch with her through the years and always thanked her - as she said, she just wanted us to go on a "coke date" and never dreamed we would marry.

Dearest Paula,
I was heartsick to hear about your dear mom (Bonnie sent me the notice). You told me about her ordeal over the summer, but it seemed as if she were well on the road to recovery. I know how hard this is for you, and how much you will miss her. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
