Elizabeth K. "Dee-Dee" Word, formerly of Newark, N.J., made her transition on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, in Okolona, Miss. The celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. James A.M.E. Church, 588 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Blvd., Newark. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery....

DeeDee was the "Big Sister" I didn't have. She was a kind, loving spirit and will truly be missed by my family.
