Like their parents, the Parsons girls were superlative hostesses. When you were welcomed at their houses, you WERE WELCOMED and served the most fantastic fare. They were a unit--beyond just family--fused at the hip. Gentle and unobtrusive they graced every setting they entered. Their husbands were just the kind of great guys such flawless southern ladies warranted-- like Fred who lovingly cared for his wife about a decade unassisted. We have happy memories of times spent with Ella and her family while we lived in Chattanooga growing up.

Our family has many fond memories of time spent with our mother's only relative living in the Chattanooga area with us, and a double first cousin at that. Summer days at Lake Winnepasauka were a nice gift of loving mothers, and we were lucky to have that.
