Not sure what to say?

I have fond memories of Ella Mae. We saw eye to eye on the issue of gun control. During the late l960's and early 1970's we were in contact a number of times on this issue. I have great respect for her activism.

My wife and I loved Miss Potter she would always speak from her front porch and call out my name "Clayton where is your wife"? She will be miss, when I visit Merrick School as I leave I will look over at her porch and remember how she would call my name and ask where is your wife? Sherrill and Clayton Baker

I have the honor of knowing Ms. Potter for over 45 years. We worked together on several neighborhood projects-she has such a love for her community. I spent many hours soaking up her wisdom on her front porch. And there were days where her love was such a comfort as I faced life's challenges. Her warrior spirit will be missed!

Our loss is heaven's gain....

My deepest sympathy, sorry for the loss of your mother may God continue to bless the family.

Robin and family, please accept my condolences. My family and I are away and unable to be with you. Your mother was a strong woman with tremendous faith. She was an inspiration and I am so grateful to have known her. God bless you all!

Great lady she will be missed by many

Mrs. Potter was a great fighter for the South Side and she has gone to her rest after an honorable lifetime.
