I am so sadden by the news of Ellen's passing, I was Blessed to have met Ellen my very first day at Colorado Legal Services. She made such a lasting impression not only to me but so many in life. I truly enjoyed my conversations with her about life, her loving husband, family and her grandkids especially watching them play baseball over the weekend. When I think of Ellen, I say it takes a special person to want to help another person, however Ellen was more than just special she was an Angel from God because she helped more people than she had time in her day. I watched her give each person care and compassion as though she was fighting to protect her flesh and blood in each of her clients. God Blessed her with her calling and she did just that for so many people who could not afford representation or much of anything. I was so proud to see a Strong, Latina had made her way and fought adversity to make her place and pave a path forward for others to follow. I will always remember your beautiful smile and I still have your last text message on my phone and will treasure it always. Sending prayers to the entire family, May God Bless you all! Respectfully, Michelle Marin

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. Ellen was an angel in disguise as we probably already knew that. We were all blessed to have Ellen in our lives in one way or another. She for sure will be missed by many who loved everything about this special person. RIP my sweet dear cousin/friend!
