Not sure what to say?

Today I decided to google an old friend. I am saddened to learn of Pinky's passing. As a foreigner (Nigerian) in Alabama, she invited me for Thanksgiving, Christmas and several holiday periods to spend time with her family at her Mountain Brook home. She was a joy to be around.

Oh Gene I am so sorry to see this... she had such Grace and poise as she went through her illness...she suffered for so long and continued to smile each time we saw her. She was so beautiful, a great person and sweet friend..... Memories go back to Alabama and the Kappa house and especially to Jack and Jill Nursery school... our children adored Miss. Pinky!!! She will be missed and always loved...you two were such sweet neighbors To our children in Crestline!!!! SJk

I am very sad to learn of Pinkies death. We were classmates from 1st grade to graduation from Gadsden High School. We then attended the University of Alabama and were sorority sisters.
