What a wonderful woman we have lost. Harry and Ellen (mostly Ellen) hired my brother Jim and myself to caretake Booth-Ashmore Mortuary in 1971. We were Seattle University students and never forgot Ellen's kindness and humility. She brought joy and care to many people over the years. My hope for her is that she now has found the same.

I had the great pleasure of being a neighbor of Ellen Ashmore and can truly say that she was as fine a lady as there ever was. She always brightened my day with a smile and her words of kindness. She will be remembered.

"Good morning, Deary," was always your greeting to me at Butterworth's. Sweet Ellen, it is a "good morning, Deary" for you now my friend, as you have become a saint in the presence of our Lord and Savior. You also taught me a lot about funerals and funeral service. Please give my late grandmother a hug for me! I will see you again on that wonderful Easter morning.
