Not sure what to say?

Ellen and I were teaching colleagues for 30 years, and we were friends. One of my favorite memories after we retired is how she would show up unannounced at my door and say, " Hey, Brownie, get ready to go on an adventure." Before I knew it, we´d be hunkered down in her red Solaro convertible heading to RI for a fun day of antiques, lunch, and laughs. She and her indomitable spirit will be sorely missed. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Ellen ("Bo", as well fondly called her) was our favorite English teacher in junior high. We remained in touch over the years and visited her as often as possible. We will miss her and love her always.

I will always remember Ellen's wise advise when I was a new teacher at East Lyme Middle School. She was so much fun and lived life to the fullest. Peter and Marc, she talked about you so often. I learned so much from her and had so much fun with her. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing.

Ellen and I began teaching in the same year. Although we were not in the same department, an instant and long lasting friendship began. She was a wonderful teacher who loved her students and wanted the best for them. Above all, she loved her family. Ellen shared numerous pictures of them because she was so very proud of her sons, their wives and of course her 4 grandchildren. May God bless and unite her with Ed, her husband and best friend. My condolences to her family. We will all miss...

Ellen and I were members of the English Dept. at the East Lyme Jr. High and then the Middle School. She was upbeat and enthusiastic about teaching, about her family, and about life in general. My sympathy to all.........
