Read MoreI just learned of this, and I live in NC so I couldn't have been there anyway, but I want her family to know that I loved her so very much. We worked closely together for a few years; not as long as she worked with some others, but it was at a critical time in our lives and the radio station, and she was an amazing woman. I have so many stories. Her memory will always be cherished.

I'm sad to learn of Ellen's passing. What a kind and sweet person. I have a lot of good memories of her through out my 22 years at WGN radio. My prayers for comfort go to her family, and to all that love her.
