Ellen COLLYER

Although I didn't get to see Ellen frequently, us living at opposite ends of the country, from the first time I met her, I felt a kindred spirit and thoroughly enjoyed and admired her. Perhaps the fact that we both came from "Christopherson/Christophersen" stock gave us some shared DNA somewhere in our history. That is very well written. It was moving, I was one of the out of town chess players who can attest to her kindest and generosity. She always had a place for me to sleep, a meal in the morning, and a ride to the event if necessary. It was her generosity that led to the beginning of a life long friendship with her son Curt.
