Not sure what to say?

I think of Ellen whenever I open my battered, spine-taped cookbook from Hood College days. We shared so many laughs.

My deepest sympathies to Stuart and all Ellen's family.

I think of Ellen often. We shared so many memories and experiences in the 60 years I knew her beginning with shared home ec classes at Hood College and continuing with reunions at Hood and several other locations where we gathered with classmates. We also shared two dresses! I think of her every time I use a store-bought pie crust. She would not approve!

Just learned of your passing.....I have a couple of your recipes, when you hosted the Mott ladies at your place, and thought of you when I would run across them. You were always such a warm, caring person. Stu, Perry, and family, you have our deepest sympathy.....Joanne & Cliff Hannula former NPS employees from Isle Royale.

Ellen, you were such an inspiration and role model as a "Big Sister Scout" on our Merrielander adventure in '57".... Many sweet thoughts to family! Good night, Scouts.... Carol Layton Howie

Watching the waves at Sunset Beach on Oahu.

Ellen & Stu were our next door neighbors in Hawaii. She & I kept each other company when the men were at sea. We had great adventures including being leaders of a senior Girl Scout troop. A great friend when I needed her.

I met Ellen in 1957 in the Netherlands during her European trip with the Girl Scouts. I met her thru Barbara Figge Fox.
My deepest sympathy for your loss

So long big Sister. I will forever remember and cherish the days you read me Winnie The Pooh and when you pushed me around in this stroller like a son. You were and will always be there for me. I love and will miss you terribly. You've left us far too soon and filled all of our hearts with nothing but loving memories. Be at peace. Love, Steve

Stu. - I was so surprised to read that Ellen has passed away! I didn't know that she was sick! I guess that we have lost touch since 'my Denny' passed away! I can't tell me how sorry that I am! Maybe they can get together in heaven and reminisce about old times! I feel like Denny is still with me in many ways as I imagine you will feel that Ellen is with you! Fondly Jean
