My Darling Ellen,
It's been a year since you left us. I am still surrounded by icons of the love we shared. Because your mortal remains were scattered onto the seas, there is no place on Earth I can go to ponder those wonderful, sometimes foolish things that remind me of you- like tonight as soft rain drips from trees outside my window and I recall holding you in my arms, hearing your tinkling laugh.
So I must be must be content to share those memories in this special Book. I am...

Dear George,
We were saddened to hear about the loss of your wonderful and beautiful wife, Ellen. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Our time on earth is short and we don't get enough time to find all the wonderful people in the world, Ellen was one of them and we were happy to know her for the short time we did. Our love to you, may God bless you.

Dear George, Marsha,Don, Brent,and Lenore,
Just want you all to know our thoughts have been with you this past week. Aunt Ellen has always been such a beautiful lady,as are all of the Johnson sisters. She always encouraged us to act like ladies and to have good manners. Which she was always an example to us. We have a beautiful doilie in our front room that Aunt Ellen made for us a few years ago, I think of her every time I look at it. She was the perfect hostess every time...

All too soon in our lives we have to give up a loved one/dear friend.
Ellen and George were that way for me. I feel very blessed to have known them and to have gone to the Temple with them. My prayers go to both of you at this time.
