Ellen Kay Donaghy

News of Ellen death just arrived today, Jan. 16. Sad news but I’d begun wondering/worrying when I didn’t get a Christmas note. We met at St John’s, Saginaw, Michigan. We became good friends over books! Pen pals in recent years after she moved to Wisconsin and I retired to Muskegon, Michigan. Witty, intelligent, a good listener and a wonderful laugh. May her memory be a blessing.

Ellen was a delight to work with at CMW Real Estate.. Always had a smile on her face a little giggle that you knew she was in the building!!

Ellen Kay sold a house for my husband and I. I remember her Irish Christmas cards with her letters tucked inside. I also remember she tried to keep in touch when she was in town and would meet some of us Bostwick's at the Knights of Columbus on Burger Night.

Ellen Kay was my St. Mary's Cathedral classmate from the first grade to graduation. During high school years I often sat next to her, hoping that some of her great intelligence (she was valedictorian) would rub off on me. Ellen Kay was a gifted leader in so many ways, and she set a high standard. One of my proudest moments during my middle school years was to come in second place to her in a spelldown. So very sorry to hear about Ellen. We worked together at CMW Real Estate and shared good memories about going to St Mary Cathedral School in Saginaw. She was a delight, so very smart and I loved her contagious laugh.
