Not sure what to say?

Some much to learn from Mrs Bruce Crane Fisher. Though very late to say this message, I am taking lessons to tell my children how to live a life like Christ.

I remember Mrs Fisher with such wonderful thoughts. I met "Bruce" while with the group Sing Out South in Richmond. One summer she drove a station wagon full of us up to Davids Island in New York for Sing Out, and she called me her navigator, as I sat in the front seat beside her reading the map, with Mrs Newcomb from Charles City following us close behind. I had the pleasure of staying in Westover a few nights, in Evelyn Byrd's room and still remember Evelyn's portrait staring at me! She...

So much reminds me of Ms Fisher, honeysuckle, beggars lice daisies, peonies, fresh blackberries, fresh peaches, pecans, heavy cream, Carrs Crackers,....Sitting on the left side of St. Paul's Church 4-5 aisles back from the front....Passing the Anderson House at VCU ,she often wondered if related. Grand Central Station , one day she called me to run an errand and I had to tell her no becasue I was in NYC at Grand Central Station...and she told me a story of being hoisted up those long steps to...

MY LIFE HAS BEEN AND WILL FOREVER BE ENRICHED BY HAVING THE PRIVILEGE OF KNOWING AND BEING AROUND SUCH A GREAT PERSON AS MRS FISHER. MAY THE PEACE OF GOD REST UPON AND DWELL WITH THE FAMILY.

For reasons that I cannot explain, I have been thinking about Mrs. Fisher and her family lately. Strangely, the Spirit moved me to “Google” Bruce Crane Fisher tonight, only to find her obituary. I’m so sad to learn of her passing, and wish I had known of it sooner so that I could have possibly attended her funeral service. I was privileged to know her from 1959 through 1965 as the mother of a wonderful young lady named Jolly. During my visits at Woods Hole, MA and Westover, Mrs. Fisher...

As the spouse of a former employee of Westover, she will always be remembered for her kindest and concern for us and other employees in the past. She will also be remembered for her generosity to me after my husband passed away. He loved being able to speak with her when he had a chance.

I was in the Charles City "Up With People Group" in the late 1960s. Mrs. Fisher opened her home to us to meet and practice and provided a van for our travel and substantial financial backing for our group. Her generosity gave me my first and only camp experience. She was truly God's gift to us.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Fisher was a true Christian and a wonderful woman. I know you'll miss her dearly, as will anyone who was touched by her kind and loving spirit. May God comfort you and bring you peace.

Mrs. Fisher leaves a rich legacy for her family and the many that she touched-a legacy marked by her grace, gentleness and caring. We join you in morning a truly grand lady and the passing of an era! We will miss her and will keep memories that we will always cherish.
Christine remembers vividly when Mrs. Fisher, taking a quiet moment to be with her, read poetry while "the others" went outside to go riding. She remembers the beauty of the room and the quiet grace that Mrs. Fisher...
