Always thinking of you Mum - you're the best! xx John

1969 Ron and Ellen Frame's family portrait - with (L-R) children Kathy, John, Paul, Ron, Mick and 3 year old twins Maureen and Peter.

84 years ago today, 29th October 2012, my sweet Mum was born at the Lady Bowen Hospital here in Brisbane. She told me that being a Mum was the best thing she ever did. With just days left in her life in August 2011 I twice told her she was the best Mum in the world - and each time she shook her head and firmly declared "No - MY Mum was."

So here's the earliest photo we have of Ellen Veronica, taken in late 1929 or early 1930, sitting on her mother's lap in their front yard just up the...

Mum at Taigum in April 2011 well and happy wearing her brand new spectacles.

Aunty Von was a second Mum. Never judgemental, always accepting and forever loving. My life could have been so different without her love and care. Her love in those tender teenage years shaped my future and my thoughts drift back to her, Uncle Ron and the family often. Loving memories I treasure. Love you...

Vonnie Frame was my friend, mentor and occasional 'lighthouse in the storm'. I am a better person for her influence in my life. Thank you Von. Happy travels.

Mum was without doubt one of the most generous, kind people to ever grace this earth. Her affection was infectious, her pride in all her loved ones immeasurable, and her protective embrace is sorely missed. Love you Mum, I'll always miss you and never forget you. xx Maureen

I would like to think that I've modeled my life on Mum. She always saw the best in EVERYONE and was forever optimistic. A sainted person, loved and missed by her entire family but never forgotten!
