Not sure what to say?

Along with Glor Cameli (Walsh) and Bonnie Schmelter (Jackson), I was lucky enough to be in the same Home Economics class with them and our "teacher", Miss Gibbs. I was always heavy and so self-conscious, but for some reason that year I had begun to loose weight. I was making a jumper and every time we checked it before the final stiching, it was too big. She remarked, that I was loosing a lot of weight and that was wonderful, and no matter how many times we would have to alter the final...

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
Many times I have wanted to write a letter thanking Miss Ellen Gibbs for her kindness to me when I was in her class at Fairview High School. I am sad to think that she was still in the area and I didn't persue her.
I left her class in the twelfth grade before I graduated to marry my high school sweetheart. Miss Gibbs had an assistant teacher and I was so totally moved to recieve a beautiful set of...

To the Family and friends of Miss Gibbs,
If she was a " HOME EC TEACHER " at Fairview High, she is " OUR MISS GIBBS " and I would like to share a story. In the late 50ies I had her for sewing. She had decided we all would make long sleeve blouses as our project. She would help each and everyone of us so, all projects could be worn. I had found an unusual fabric with an egyptian flavor. the colors were black, deep purple, royal blue and gold. I had selected a taylored pattern. She...

To the family of Ellen Gibbs,

What a wonderful, intelligent woman she was! I have many fond memories of when "the girls" would come to Medina to visit Mr. and Mrs. Edwards. Mr. Edwards would go running in to tell Mrs. Edwards that "the girls are here". When they were not home, they would come ask me where Cal and Althea went?

Ellen and Kathy were like two peas in pod. They were always busy going somewhere or doing something.

May God bless the family with strength...

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to both the family and friends of Ellen.

She left me with lasting memmories of our time together while she was heading up the Church Youth group. Running us kids all around to earn money for church camp and hosting camp outs in her back yard. We were lucky to have her in our lives and honored she took the time to share hers with us.

God Bless

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
