Not sure what to say?

Ellen Gilchrist was one of my favorite writers ever since I read her book I, RHODA MANNING, GO HUNTING WITH MY DADDY. Since then, I have read several books she wrote; my two favorites being RHODA and FALLING THROUGH SPACE; also, her novel THE ANNA PAPERS. She is an excellent writer, and I only regret that I do not have a picture of her and me as my personal encounters with her were always pleasant.

I apologize for the spelling error. The name is ELLEN GILCHRIST

Sharing a Valentine's Day memory of Gellen Gilchrist is appropriate. In her literature, she had a love for her upbringing and the environment she lived in and wrote about, as I especially noticed in her book FALLING THROUGH SPACE. I noticed that attitude of hers also in her several appearances at Tulane University and the Garden District Book Shop when meeting her. I am submitting another picture of myself and just regret that I do not have a picture of her and me together.

I am glad that you are keeping the memory of Ellen Gilchrsit alive. Certainly she will be remembered in the literary world.

To this day, I remember Ellen with pleasure.

Ellen Gilchrist is still rm

I still remember Ellen Gilchrist with pleasure. From time to time, she appeared in New Orleans, and I enjoyed listening to her.

On one occasion, she appeared at the Garden District Book Shop in New Orleans and autographed my copy of her book RHODA with "To Thomas, with love, Ellen Gilchrist." That made me smile and feel good.

book RHODA "For Thomas, with love, Ellen Gilchrist." With that, she made me feel good.
