Ellen E. Grant

The room lit up when she was in it and she made my brother whole. Now that Ellen's pain has ended, I can only hope that Tim can find some balance, that he and Mary can take comfort in eachother's company, and that we can all remember Ellen and feel her warm light again.

We were all fortunate to have her for the short time she was with us. Time will pass and we may get older and fatter, but Ellen will always be young, beautiful, upbeat and funny.

Ellen and I go way back to the 4th grade at Lyon Elementary School in Glenview. Our teacher was Miss Smith who wore nylons and knee socks together! We thought she was the coolest. In high school we both loved Frank Zappa and had all of his albums. We shared camping and rafting trips in Wisconsin that included a frog jumping into a fire and a kayak rescue on the Wolf River.
