It is with great sadness that I learned today of the passing of my high school literature buddy, Ellen. In the awkwardness of adolescence, we were united by a love of literature and the quest to stand on our own independent feet. I spoke with Ellen in mid- 2009 and she had recently learned of the resurgence of her disease after a rich life of doing wonderful things. She was writing a book at that point. Our condolences to ellen's family, ellen was always a delight to have in our office, we always looked forward to a day when ellen would come in for her dental appointments. she will be dearly missed--dr ventura and staff.
