Ellen Johnson

I was very sad to hear of Ellen’s passing. I have lived across the yard from her for over 10 years. Ellen was a character and loved to tell stories of how she met Artie, her life in Staten Island and her home in Cairo. She was one of a kind and I will truly miss her. My condolences to Artie and her family.

Occasionally when possible we all like to visit places from our past that hold a special place in our heart ...for me one of those places was the Johnson family home on Lyndale Ave . I always thought my dear friend Leslie had the best mom ever ....So sorry to learn of her passing ..My deepest sympathies to Leslie ,Stacey,Beth and your dad

So sorry to read of Ellen's passing. I am Tom O'Brien's daughter (her 1st cousin/Helen's granddaughter). Fond members of Ellen and Artie through the years at family gatherings. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Aunt Ellen was my godmother. Although I haven't seen her in many years, she was always in my thoughts. As a child, I will always remember her as having a ready smile, and her amazing laugh. One special memory is of the time that I walked to her house in Eltingville as a teenager. I visited with her for a few hours, and walked back home.
