I met Ellen on a sad occation. All of us came together to say our good byes to Frank Johnson, the father of my son, Scott. Ellen left a lasting impression on me. She treated me with kindness and understanding. I felt LeRoy was a very lucky man. My love and prayer go to LeRoy and family.

Ellen will be remembered for her loving spirit, her kindness, her zest for life and her incredible humor. She touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew her.

My wife, Paige, met Ellen through BCMets. Ellen was a great source of comfort and strength for Paige in her journey. She will be missed.

Ellen and I were friends who met first on-line through BCMets and then in person. In the last few months, as her health declined, we were mainly telephone buddies. She was a lovely woman, who dealt with medical setbacks, difficult treatment choices and her approaching death with enormous courage, humor and grace. I feel blessed to have known her.

I got to know Ellen from our living and going to school together in Buckhannon, WV. Ellen was a very special person, a friend to everyone. I will never forget her smile or her kind words. My prayers will be with the family. What a great loss to everyone she left behind, but a wonderful gift for Heaven.
