I have been reading Mom's journal over the last few days, and it reminded me that she was a young woman once, with a twinkle in her eye that she kept throughout her life.

She loved children, and loved to sit with them and read a book or just talk. She was "green" before the word was invented.

And finally, she was filled with compassion for all, and lived the Christian precept to "Love they neighbor as thy self."

We will miss you, Mom.

It seems like a wonderful chapter in our lives has come to an end. We were blessed to have had the parents we did. I will forever cherish the memories of our summers and visits to Andover.
