Hans & Family, I was so sorry to have read about Ellen's passing. I left the SLO area about 8 years ago but have fond memories of helping you both at Wells Fargo Bank. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours. Marilyn (aka MOE) Hoerntlein, Covelo CA

Hans: My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I am so sorry for Ellen's sudden death. I was pleased that I had the opportunity to work with Ellen at Cuesta College. She was a really wonderful woman and I am so sorry for her passing and your loss. Take Care - Lori Lawson

Dear Hans Sr., Jane, Hans, & Kate,

I just want you to know that I treasure many memories of all of you and your mom too. I can remember visits to your home and many fun times. You are all in my prayers. May you be blessed with the peace of our Lord during these tough times. Much love in Christ, Jackie

Dear Hans, You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers in this time of deep sadness. I appreciate all her, and your support of the SLO High School Class of 1969 Reunion Activities. Blessings

Dear Hans, You & your family are in my prayers. May you sense God's comfort & peace with you at this incredibly difficult time. I was enjoying getting to know you & Ellen at church in the recent months. I regret I can't attend the service for Ellen as I will be out of town.

Ellen and I worked in neighboring city departments at the time we were starting our families, many years ago. She was always straightforward and cheerful. And the Magers adopted several of our troublesome possums. I know Ellen will be deeply missed.

Hans, I cannot imagine the shock of your loss. You and your family will remain in my thoughts and prayers. Ellen obviously made some fine contributions to the community through her teaching and I will look forward to hearing more about her. Jim Pederson

Hans, What a shock! I guess you are never prepared for such a loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. My daughter. Erin, had Ellen at Cuesta and has always spoken fondly of her. May you have the strength to endure this tough time.
