Ellen Catherine Martin

MARTIN, Ellen Catherine - Of Burton, age 75, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Twin Cities Baptist Church, G-5339 Saginaw Road in Grand Blanc, Pastor Brad Potter officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation 2-4PM and 6-8PM Monday and Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Martin will be at the church from 12Noon until the time of the service on Wednesday. Ellen was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on September 4, 1930, the daughter of the late Henry and Ellen Hamden. Surviving are 3 sons, Dan and wife Sharon Martin of Troy, Gary and wife Karen Nylund of Washington State, Marty and wife Robin Johnson of Washington State; 4 daughters, Renee Camp of Flint, Pamela and husband William Johnston of St. Helen, Sheila and husband Milan Camp of Burton, Laura and husband William Balcer, Jr. of Burton; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Henrietta and husband Robert Bondy of Flint, Pat Gooden of Burton; brother, Ronald and wife Sue Beck of West Branch; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughters, Rebekah Anne Balcer and Angel Marie Camp; brother, Henry Hamden; sister, June Meloche and husband, Wyman L. Martin.
