My wife (Doris Fauber Strickler) was a classmate of Ellen's at Mary Baldwin College, and I was a classmate of Pete Candler at VMI. We became very close friends during our college years and attended each other's weddings in August 1971. We spent many wonderful times together both in Covington and Lexington for 20 years with just the four of us and with our children.
