Ellen Mattock, age 84, passed away on January 25, 2022 , at home with her family. She is survived by her children, Kim Kitchen and Jim Mattock, son in law Jim, daughter in law Sharon , grandchildren Jimmy (Alyssa), Matt, Kerri (Riley), Ray, Chace (Alex) and Jake, great grandson, Ashton, her sister, Maria McCabe (Joe), nieces Karen Vegega (Alex), JoAnn Bianco (Reno), Lise and Debra Henri, nephew Marc Henri (Maria), great nieces, Morgan, Maddie, Shayna and Sarah, great nephew Reno and great great niece, Everly. Ellen was born and raised in Kensington and attended Visitation BVM and St. Anne's Business School. She was the Office Manager at Wilder Bros./Case Paper for 40 years. Ellen purchased a vacation home in Arrowhead Lakes in the Poconos about 25 years ago and eventually retired there. She was an active member of the community and served on the Disciplinary Committee for a number of years. Ellen loved playing pinochle and any card game and was the family card shark. She was also a pretty good shot with the plastic fruit from the bowl on the dining room table when we were kids! She enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino and in her younger years was a championship water skier and had the nickname "Mickey" (we have no idea why). Ellen was the rock of our family and truly our hero. Her great advice, ability to be fair, her humor and most of all, her love, will be missed more then any words could convey. Family and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday February 4th from 9:30 AM to 11 AM in Our Lady of Calvary Church 11024 Knights Road. Her funeral mass will begin at 11 AM and her interment will be held privately. Please share your fondest memories of Ellen at PhillyFunerals.com. Sorry to hear about Ellen (your Mom, grandma mom, and sister). I met Ellen at Case Paper back in 1989, when she became my manager. She then retired and she was sure missed. I did visit once up at Arrowhead Lakes since my fam has land. Time has sure went by fast, but I am sure the family has many memories to remember her for many years to come. May she Rest In Peace - my thoughts and prayers go out to you Kim and Jimmy and your families!

Ellen(Sis) was my godmother. We live and grow and wind up going different directions in life. I wish I never lost contact with my Aunt Sis. Every time I would stop by her house on Coral St. I was always welcome.
I’m so sorry to hear about your passing.

I knew Ellen from work and our families get togethers and there were many. She was my walking buddy most days at work lunchtime. We remembered each other's birthdays.

Aunt Sis, I wish I would've told you just how much I love, admire & respect you. I looked up to you for so many things. You were smart, beautiful, caring & funny. I'll miss so much about you, especially your soft voice, sincere eyes, kind smile & precious pup laugh. Love you always, JoAnn

Mom, our hero always, you will be missed so much more then I could say. Thank you for raising us the way you did and for always being there whenever we needed you, which was often. My heart is broken. Please watch over us and keep us safe. I love you so much.
