Not sure what to say?

Miss Ellen is so dearly missed. There's hardly a day that goes by that I don't think about her. She was my first "Favorite" under Contacts in my phone and I still can't bear to remove her. The most special, sweet, funny and genius-level entrepreneur who rescued me and my horses more times than I can count. I still smile remembering her in the kitchen with a huge stack of notebooks perfecting a recipe that Skipper liked in some restaurant. One of a kind doesn't begin to describe her. ...

Missing a very sweet friend, love and miss you Ellen! Love you, Lynn Barrett

Thank you Ellen from across the pond. Your beautiful smocking designs and contribution to the world of smocking was amazing. My deepest condolences to your family. I didn´t know you personally but always recommended your beautiful designs to smockers here in Australia. With thoughts love and prayers Lesley

Thank you Ellen for your contribution to my life in the world of smocking. It has given me much joy and pleasure, and I'm so grateful for all I have learned from you! Your legacy will live on for generations to come! May you rest in peace. I send blessings to your family for your loss.

This is such an incredible loss that words can't begin to describe it. "Miss Ellen" was born with more talent, grace, humor, creativity and generosity than anyone I have ever known. While she will forever be remembered worldwide as the smocking genius, she lived her life for her husband, Larry, her daughter Kerry, and her granddaughter, Lizzy. Miss Ellen had so many projects going on at once, and never let anything fall through the cracks, while being the best chef in the kitchen...

I loved Ellen's creativity and imagination. She will live forever in her designs and her ability to teach others. Our prayers are with you and those she loved and held dear.

Ellen was, and always will be a true inspiration to myself and my customers. Her smocking plates, books and patterns have always been my go to products for beginners. I don't think she realized what a significant influence she was on the smocking and heirloom sewing industry. Ellen was always kind when speaking to her on the phone and very helpful with meeting requests for new ideas. Ellen you will be truly missed. You have left your legacy on more people than you know. My sincere...

Dear Ellen was one of the main leaders in the heirloom sewing industry. Her books and patterns are fabulous and still used today for teaching. She will be missed. My love to her family..

I learned to smock using Ellen´s patterns. Using Ellen´s patterns will always insure a beautiful result. Her instructions were easy to follow and the garments are a perfect fit. I can´t even imagine the impact she had on so many people that she never even met. I am one of those people.
