I was a "cohort in crime" with Ellen by way of WSAM (Women for the Survival of Agriculture in Michigan). We joined forces in working for better agriculture practices, finances, and political policies, as well as in picketing at produce-buyers businesses. We were always "real ladies" in our approaches, never causing any trouble. Ellen was a lady to be reckoned with in our causes. Her abilities will be missed.
