I was so sorry to hear the news about Ellen. I also grew up in Fairfield and graduated a few years behind Ellen. I grew up in the TCI apartments with her husband Joe and his sister Lou. Our mothers were best friends and when I was born 8/16. The day Joe was 5, my mother named me Nancy Jo. My granddaughter when to Bama with Ellen Coleman as well as ACE cheerleading. It is a small world. She will be missed, but happy they are together again.
