Ellen M. Murphy

Loved spending time with Ellen both in Apollo Beach and at her Whitehall home Playing dominoes or just visiting. She was an inspiration to all who knew her generous spirit.

Ellen and John were two of the most wonderful people we had the pleasure knowing. They graciously welcomed us in the early 2000s to rent their apartment while we built a new home. May they be resting in eternal peace together forever

Having lived in the White Lake area all my life, we knew the Murphy family long before Ellen ended up student-teaching at North Muskegon while both Jerry & I were teaching there and then later joining the staff. We remember Ellen as always having a smile on her face and being totally involved and committed to what she was doing. She raised three great kids. We enjoyed the friendship especially of Bob & Michell. May the Lord be with you all and your families as you grieve her loss.

Ellen was a wonderful woman so full of life. The kids probably won’t remember, but, I used to babysit them at their first house on Scenic Drive. In later years, when I was a Greeter at Meijer we would chat and keep up with what was going on in our lives. She will certainly be missed.

My parents, Nicky and Ron Jansen, shared so many wonderful years of friendship with Ellen and John. I remember stories of their adventures together, especially in their motor homes. Please accept my sincere condolences on Ellen’s passing.
