I am very fortunate to have known Ellen Jean. She called me "her friend Vickie." I loved to hear her talk about her childhood, and the Polka nights her family shared together. When Polka was mentioned to Ellen Jean, her face lit up. She also talked so pationatelly about her late husband "Jack", saying that he was such a wonderful husband. She loved his smile. She also talked about her four children, with such love! She was witty, and funny, and kind. She was so proud of her accomplishments...
