ELLEN SCHWARTZ

I think of Ellen often and remember our long friendship and I so miss picking up the phone and talking to her and making plans to get together . I miss her advice,her wit and sense of humor. We met in 1977 when we were Legal Aid lawyers and we connected immediately. We were office mates and colleagues. We worked together , laughed together and sometimes cried together. We were ther for the milestones in each others lives. I was lucky that Ellen touched my life .

I met Ellen in 1977 and we became office mates at Legal Aid where we were both criminal defense attorneys. Ellen was an excellent and committed lawyer and a devoted friend to me. We shared many wonderful times together and I still want to pick up the phone and call her. She was remembered a few weeks ago at a Legal Aid Reunion of defense lawyers who were there in the 1970s . What a great woman. She always had a reserved, yet shy way about her, even though she held a very big title!

During our time as colleagues, Ellen was a teacher, a confidant and a friend. We have lost a great lady! My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.

I am so sorry to learn of Ellen's passing. She was a great woman on so many levels. Realize your heart & your children's hearts are breaking - and can only wish for you and for them, that the many, many , many wonderful and sweet times together and memories you have of Ellen will eventually make you all smile when you think of her.
