VEINOT, Ellen Marie Hall Ellen Marie Hall Veinot departed this life on Sunday, (July 8, 2008) on Nantucket Island. Beloved daughter of the late William and Ellen Hall of Medford, MA. Devoted wife of 56 years to Richard Veinot. Ellen and Richard were long-time residents of Burlington, MA. Her happiest years were spent in Burlington raising her children amid the love and laughter of Macon Road. Ellen was a devoted mother of her two children, the Rev. Dr. William Veinot of Rocky Hill, and Jeannine Veinot-Amendola of Guilford. An adored Nana to Nathaniel, Rebeccah, Christian, and Zachary Amendola, and Christina, Carolina and JoHannah Veinot. Her elegance, grace, and keen sense of humor will be missed by all who were blessed in knowing her. A former beauty queen, Ellen was renowned for her exquisite beauty, charm, and warmth. Ellen prized the value of an education and was deeply committed to seeing that her children and grandchildren graduated from institutions of higher learning. Her greatest pride was her family and she found deepest joy when she was surrounded by loved ones. An only child, she cherished the friendship shared between her friends whom she lovingly called "The Golden Girls". As a Placement, Ellen was exceedingly beloved by those students for whom she found employment in the technology field. Ellen's influence significantly affected the lives of countless students as she guided them toward productive and profitable careers. A Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist will take place at the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle (Episcopal), 331 Orchard St., Rocky Hill on Thursday, July 17th at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family sincerely requests that donations be sent to St. Andrews Church Memorial Garden, where Ellen's ashes will rest. Not sure what to say?

The first time I met Ellen Veinot, she held her arms out to me and exclaimed, "Welcome, Darling! Never leave!" I know that God has in turn stretched out his arms to her with great love and welcomed her home. She was the finest mother-in-law a woman could hope to have. I am ever thankful for the wonderful son she raised, my husband, Bill, and for her daughter, Jeannine, my sister-in-law and dear chum. I share in your sorrow, and I love you both so much.

God looked around his garden
and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw her tired face.

He put His arms around her,
And lifted her to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew she was suffering,
He knew that she was in pain.
He knew that she would never,
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed her weary...

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I am sadded to hear of the loss of a wonderful lady. One of my fondest childhood memories on Macon Rd was at the end of the school year, Mrs V would take the neighborhood girls on a tea party. She was a role model for elligance and grace. She will always be in my heart.

We extend our deepest sympathies at this time and thank you for entrusting us with the care of your loved one.

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
