Ellen was such an amazing person. I loved hearing stories of her travels and her adventuresome life. She was so kind hearted. I always enjoyed being at her house surrounded by all of her treasures she had found while abroad. She had a story for each one. I loved the one about the ever-so-attractive rug salesmen that made such an impression on her that she bought too many rugs to know what to do with! She was always eager to share recipes and ideas with me. She kept me up to date on the news....

Ellen was one of kind and I was lucky to be her friend. She shared her wisdom and laughter openly. She was feisty, independent, and joyful. I admired her and will treasure her memory forever. Be at peace my sweet friend.
