In the 70's and 80's there were not many in the education field advocating for children with special needs, Ellen was the exception always providing support and voice to those needing assistance. She will be missed.

I am so saddened to hear of Ellen's passing. I was fortunate enough to work with her at CAPS and remember her passion, humor, intelligence and devotion to children under her care. She was a wonderful coworker and amazing person. My deepest sympathies to you, her entire beloved family.
