Not sure what to say?

I worked with Elliot at IS 61 for many years. We often worked the cafeteria together. I was very sorry to hear of his passing.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Elliott I feel I knew him through my dear friend Jeannie. We would sit and drink our wine or be fixing late dinners and Jeannie would share her many stories of Elliott! My sincere condolences to the family...may the Lord uplift you and meet all your needs in this time.

I will keep the family of Elliott in my prayers. I lived around the corner on Taylor Street close to Trinity Place in West Brighton where the Dernback family resided. They were a very nice family. All the guys in the neighborhood played sports together. Elliott was older than I. Elliott was certainly a courageous person and a person to be respected. Sorry for your loss.

My condolences to the Dernback family. Having worked with Elliott at IS 61 for many years, I came to know him as an educator with compassion for the children he taught.

Elliott was a good guy. Played basketball with him locally on a team his father coached in the early 60s.

I'm so sorry to read of Elliot's passing. His grandmother was Helen Dernback. She was my maternal grandmother's first cousin Mary Jane Smith Hoerle. Aunt Helen was a large part of our family. I knew both her sons. Rest in Peace.

It´s with great sadness that I see Elliotts passing. It is no surprise to read of his military time having dealt with him in the boating business. He looked you in the eye and that was his word. No big mouth just get it done. With the assistance of Butch of course. A straight shooter. He will be missed

I´m so sorry for your loss. I was a customer at Bliss marine for many years. Always a kind and helpful gentleman with a wealth of knowledge. Im Sorry to hear of his passing

I worked at IS 61 with Mr.. Denmark. He was in charge of the school aides.. He was a good man. My condolences to his family. RIP Elliott.
