Read MoreI was sorry to learn of Dr. Hinkes's recent passing. His name has become legend at Johns Hopkins partly because of his extraordinary collection of books, but mostly because he was an extraordinary man. We are very proud that he was a graduate of Johns Hopkins and I felt prvileged to work with him, if only for a brief time, on his vision for leaving a lasting legacy.

Although I have not seen nor spoken to Elliott in more years than I care to remember, I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I always considered Elliott to be a good friend in high school and I have often thought fondly of him over the years. My sincere condolences to his family.
