Not sure what to say?

"Mr. H." was my 4th grade teacher at the Vets. He was a gift to us students who he cared so much about. He saw that I loved art and photography and really focused on that with me. He let me borrow one of his expensive cameras, showed me drawing techniques, and gently pushed me to do more with my talent. His kindness and compassion I have never forgotten, as it helped me gain confidence that I know helped me become the artist I am now. He will not be forgotten. My condolences to his...

I am so sad to hear this news. I had him for a teacher twice, in fourth and fifth grade. He was my all time favorite teacher. He reached out to me just this year. Something He said to me way back then, over 40 years ago made me cry. It bothered him all these years and he wanted to know if I forgave him. I don't even remember the incident. It was great to hear from him and to chat with him after all this time. He was loved by so many. My heart goes out to his wife and family.

Anita, So very sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time, Love Angela Stull

Mr. Hurvitz was my 5th grade teacher at Veterans Memorial School in Saugus, MA. He was a kind person who truly cared about his students. I really appreciated being able to be connected to him in the Saugus group on Facebook later in life. May he rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers to his loved ones.

I was ones of Hurvitz´s Heroes at the Veterans Elementary school. He was my inspiration to become a teacher. I stopped in to the Vets while in college and after having not seen me for many years he knew me by name and pointed me out to his current class in his wall of previous class pictures. He was one of a kind. I´ve worked to have his Town of Saugus Coloring Book he illustrated reestablished as part of our grade three curriculum. Thank you for the lessons. Rest well "Mr. Hurvitz.

Fond memories of Mr Hurvitz as my 5th grade teacher at Veterans Memorial School. Will remember the amazing all school play he organized and I believe he wrote the storyline And Then There´s Harold!

Anita, Rabbi Mark and I, the clergy at Temple Beth El in Fall River, never had the chance to meet you, but we want to express our sorrow for you over the loss of Elliott. Many times after the Temple Beth El and Adas Israel services were concluded we shared a Shabbat lunch in our social hall, and sometimes we sang zmirot together, which Elliot seemed to really love. We also loved his vegetarian chopped liver, which he occasionally brought in to share with us. He was a kind man, with a cheerful...

Elliot married us! He was my wife's Hebrew school teacher and performed her Bat Mitzvah. Your kindness and generosity will be missed. Anita - know that Elliot's legacy will live on through you. May you find solace in that.

Anita, My sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved Elliott. My story is how your mother introduced you to Elliott. May his memory be a blessing and may memories of happy times sustain you in your grief. Kay Stein
