Not sure what to say?

We're so sorry to hear of Elly's death. She meant so much to us as friends, and she often spoke with love for her family.

My husband Don met Elly first, in the almost-empty parking lot at Cosumnes River College. She was having some problem with her car, if memory serves, and they got to talking. She gave Don her business card, told him she’d like to meet me since we had lived in Berlin during the time the Wall went up. I am the clutter queen, and nearly always resistant to suggestions...

Reflections on Elly Rogers - Good friend, colleague, and developer of the language program at Cosumnes River College. What a shock to learn first, she was ill, then leaving us. We shared many experiences as charter faculty at CRC, working on issues of interest to state and District community college faculty. Elly was politically "savvy" and global in focus. Her linguistic skills, interest in the world and its cultures, with a will to explore them characterized her identity- a...

I was sorry to hear of Elly's passing. I worked at CRC with Elly from 1973 until her retirement and saw her occasionally at college functions. She epitomized the title of "classy lady".

I first met Elly and her family in December 1974 when I came from France to spend 9 wonderful months at her house. During that time, I was her teacher's assistant at Cosumnes River College. It was a real pleasure teaching French with Elly, and being part of her life. I became even closer to her over the years when I returned to live in the U.S. in 1977. I will cherish all the memories of this special lady who had so many exceptional qualities. My thoughts and prayers are with the Rogers...

Elly and I became acquainted while working together in setting up the foreign language program at Cosumnes River College in 1970. She has added such richness to my life! My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Rogers family as they cope with Elly's loss. She is greatly missed!

A special lady, a special aunt. Such an admirable life she lived. What a treasure to have had her a part of my life. Memories are forever.

wE WILL MISS HER SMILING FACE AT THE CLUB.

Please accept our sincere condolences to the entire family. Elly was a person that leaves a huge gap in the community that could never be filled. I have so many fond and warm memories of our families gathering together and having so much fun. My mother, Babs, was so sad to hear of your loss.
