Elmer "Ronnie" Ronald Pielert
January 13, 1934 – February 26, 2025
Elmer "Ronnie" Ronald Pielert, 91, of Ellicott City, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Howard County General Hospital, with his beloved wife by his side.
Born in Baltimore on January 13, 1934, to Edward Arthur and Frances Pielert, Ronnie was a hardworking and devoted man. He spent many years as a foreman electrician for Crown Electric Company, playing a vital role in projects at Anne Arundel Medical Center, the University of Maryland, the Baltimore Historical Society, Chesapeake High School, and many other locations. His skill and dedication left a lasting impact on the places he helped build.
One of Ronnie’s greatest joys was repairing watches and clocks—a passion that showcased his patience, precision, and craftsmanship. He could fix just about anything, always eager to lend a helping hand.
Ronnie also found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—savoring a good hamburger, enjoying a competitive game of checkers with his brother-in-law Doug Ensley, and most of all, spending time on the water. An avid fisherman and boater, he found true joy in Deale, Maryland, where he spent countless days fishing and crabbing with friends and family aboard his beloved boat, *Red Roe*. His love for the water was only surpassed by the love he had for his family.
A devoted husband, uncle, and friend, Ronnie was the kind of man who would do anything for those he cared about. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Arthur and Frances Pielert. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia Ann (Holman) Pielert of Ellicott City; his half-brother, Fritz Pielert of Ocean City, Maryland; and a cherished host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
