Not sure what to say?

Elmer and Ferne lived across the street from me as I grew up at 4218 Rosewood Avenue. Amazing family! I babysat Shelley, Cindy and Beaver at an early age. I so admired Ferne as a real go-getter in the early 50's. Elmer reminded me of Rock Hudson in those years so I was totally in awe. Rosewood Avenue was an idyllic place for all of us to grow up. He lived a wonderful life admired by all. My DaD got transferred with UniRoyal in the early 60's to Atlanta, but I will always remember...

My condolences to the family of a wonderful and entertaining man. I had the good fortune of working with Elmer for several years at Aetna Steel and was there until the sad closure of that business. Was a great company and once again a great man was Mr. Apple.

To Steve and family, I met you`re dad in 1977 when I started working at SJCC. He welcomed me to the club and was a very nice person. I am sorry for you`re loss and he will be missed.

Dear Cindy and family, I only had the pleasure of being with your Dad and Mom a few times. On one of their visits to Princeton they included me in a lovely lunch at Mediterra. Your Dad was a superb host regaling us with stories of his youth and those of his childrens' teenage years. I felt an instant fondness towards both of your parents- they exuded such kindness and a wonderful zest for life. Your Dad discovered that I was the daughter of a marine and that like him we both shared a...

Beaver, I just saw the notice of your dad passing. I will never forget the personality and humor he had and the special way he interacted with us neighborhood kids. He truly was a neat man and we respected him greatly. I'm not sure I ever beat him at ping pong or any other sport for that matter. And, I never ever minded that he called me "Cheatwood."
We know you will cherish your memories of him and we will pray for your family in this difficult time.

My respects and condolences to the Apple family. I pray God's promises will outweigh your grief.

Condolences to the Apple family,I had the pleasure of working at Aetna Steel under Elmer back in the 1980's. I treasure so much the skills he taught me and always looked at him as a mentor to my career. He will be greatly missed.
