Elmer was one of my oldest and dearest friends. I had known him since I was a little girl. There are certain people in your life that are just easy to love, and Elmer was one of those people for me. I loved him unconditionally, and I felt it was mutual. In that way , even when we would go long periods without seeing each other or talking, I always knew he was my true friend. His death has felt like a rip in the very fabric of my life.

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

I am truly saddened to hear of the loss of a classmate. Elmer and I went to middle school and high school together. I will never forget his smile and mannerism. May God be with your family during this time.

May the good Lord who looks over us all continue to bless you at this time. Sorrow is upon you now but joy will come in the morning.
