Not sure what to say?

Dear Gatch Family: It was with such sadness that I read of the passing of Mr. Gatch today. Brought back many memories of our east side connections and home and church. Please accept our deepest sympathy and prayers from our family.

Mema & Family,

We love you very much and just want you to know how important you and Poppu have been in our lives! There are so many wonderful memories and blessings that have touched our lives in such special ways. I wish I had all the right words to say but more importantly I pray God wraps you in His comfort and peace. I know God has a better place for us all and although it is hard to let go... it is not a good-bye but a "See you when it's time". I Love Yall and it makes...

Donnie, Jaki and Family Members:

We've played roles in many chapters of each others lives. Good friends are the rare jewels of life. You have touched my life in a million ways, when I lost my only daughter to cancer last year, I thought I just could not bear to be alive.I hope you will remember you have friends who will listen and care, and I am one of those friends, My heart aches for you and I am so sorry for your loss. May God's love make your grief bearable, take care of Mom...

Donnie and Jaki: My very special friends.
And family members.
My heart goes out to each of you at this difficult time. Grief can only be healed by time and prayer. I remember all the parties and family gatherings we had with Mr. Gatch, he was a very special man in my eyes. I pray Mrs Gatch will have peace and comfort, it will take prayer to help her along. And I pray the family will hold on to the memories, they will always be in your hearts forever. Heaven was prepared for him, and...

David, Donnie, Derrick, and Mrs. Gatch and family.

I remember each of you from the good old days. Mr. Gatch was so supportive of us when we played little league baseball and of course we patronized their florist for many years. I will be unable to visit with you due to illness, but you are in my prayers.

Mrs. Catherine Gatch and Family
How blessed we have been to be an extended part of the "Gatch" family through the years we have enjoyed many family gatherings with "Pawpooh" his humor, wit and stories of life and especially his love for his family and his Lord. He will be missed by all who loved him and knew him .It's good to know he's waiting on the other side.

Mema and Granddaddy, I wish I could have been there this weekend! I love Papa very much and will miss him! I love y'all and miss y'all!

Though I was never privileged to meet Mr. Gatch, I knew sons David and Derrick during our childhoods in east Savannah. Especially David, because we graduated together from SHS in the Class of '62. What a great family they are, and what a valiant soldier Mr. G was during his service in WWII. Best wishes to you all!
