Elmer Louis Hoehn

I know it's been several years since Elmer Hoehn died, but I've been thinking about him a lot lately. He was always interested in meeting with me when I saw him in the hospital. He was interested in learning how the Interfaith Centre was being utilized by myself as the chaplain as well as the staff, patients and family members. I'll never forget his quiet and humble personality and his graciousness.

The world is a better place because of Elmer Hoehn. Always a pleasure to encounter, he served as a mentor to so many and was a treasured friend of all who knew him. Peace.

This may be the most beautifully written and inspiring tribute I've ever read. Mr. Hoehn was a quiet force who gave me confidence in my beliefs.

I ran into Mr. Hoehn after leaving the local newspaper. He told me "I've missed you." I'll miss you, too, Mr. Hoehn. Thank you for helping more than you ever knew.

I consider the opportunity to work with Mr. Hoehn an absolute privilege. He was a wonderful mentor and role model for working in the public sector...a great man! Bob Grewe
